In Writing, With A Vision
So, I’ve learned a little something about myself as I write more books. One of the things I HAVE to do when I start is write my one pager on what the book is going to be about. The NEXT thing I have to do when I start a book is think about the cover art at the same time I’m writing it.
I think it is important to not only commit to something on paper, but equally important to have a vision for what it is that you want to create. Sometimes, I totally luck out and the idea just pops into my head. Other times, I post on Facebook so my friends can share with me what their vision of whatever it is that I’m working on and that can inspire. I always feel better when I have both in the bag, and I’m still banging out the cover concept in my mind’s eye. If you have ideas, I’m all ears. I’m 20% on the cover thus far – still have to bang out the vision a little more.
That’s all the wisdom I have today. My Italian plane ride funk rhinovirus is plugging up my brain today.
