Erin Go Bragh (or Braugh?)

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

I’m not Irish.  But, I have an Irish name, the freckles, and the infamous red hair (in its natural state, anyway)…so I’ve never heard the title of this post much (yeah, right).  Last year for spring break, I even was lucky enough to be in Ireland.  It was fantastic!

Literally translated, Erin Go Bragh means “Ireland Forever”.  As I was running downtown to get to a lunch meeting before the parade and seeing everyone in their green being festive today, the only thing I kept thinking about that the only thing that is forever…is, well…nothing.

Not that I’m trying to take a festive holiday and turn it into a downer….but instead, because nothing is forever, we sure better get to maximizing the time we have here, BECAUSE it isn’t forever!

St. Patrick’s Day:  A friendly, constant loop-like holiday reminder that time is finite.  Make your holidays, and every day, count….to the very best of your ability.

Erin Go Bragh!
